Pretty Girl

Sometimes when Christa is getting ready Kate will come in and select some makeup and say, "I want to get pretty!" We always assure her she is pretty just the way God made her.

It is about time

Kassidy keeps asking if she can watch football with me every night. We sat on the bed and watched a quarter about a week ago and she enjoyed the daddy time. I think that's great!

Thanksgiving at the Evernhams

Thanksgiving 2007 was great. Christa did an awesome job hosting and cooking and all were ready for a nap. Here are some photos.

Little Helper

While wiring the new light fixture in the Living Room, Chloe helped me run the wiring from the attic down to the first floor. I gave her a walkie-talkie and we coordinated the pull/push of the string to pull the wire through the wall. She was a terrific helper, without her it would have taken me six trips in and out of the attic. I was up in the attic with insulation all around me trying to look down the hole and I would hear, "stuck again..." crackle across the walkie-talkie. I would pull the wire up a bit and then tell her to pull down and sure enough it worked with a, "Daddy... your going too far!" was a sure sign the wire was past the switch box.

Electrician Daddy

I was wiring up the new light fixture in the Living Room and I had all the wires protruding out of the switch boxes while I connected the new switch. Kate walked in and took one look at the mess sticking out of the wall and said, "Are you allowed in there?" She might have meant something else but it cracked me up.

We got to eat a snack together after the program. In the program, Kass got up

in front of all the kids and grandparent's and said what she liked best about

her grandparents. "They let me have sleepovers." It sounded like she had

really practiced that sentence because she said it so loudly and clearly. She

wasn't shy at all!

What an angel. So innocent! Mama curled her hair this morning. It was beautiful.

Princess Kate

Kate wore her tiara and necklace to bed with a fitting outfit. She was so happy I had to take her picture. She insisted on wearing these to bed because, "they are so beautiful."

News Flash

A car crashed into a house across from Chloe's school and it was a big deal, all over the news, so she came home and wrote a full report on the white board for any interested passerby to read. (complete with schematic graphic at bottom.)

Cozy Kate

Soaked

Bryce and Garrett stopped by on their motorcycles on Saturday to say hello. The were riding in the desert nearby. The girls all came out to see what was happening. While we were talking Kate wandered around the side of the house and then we heard a whimpering cry and she came hopping back completely soaked. She had turned on the hose bib and didn't get out of the way in time.

Looks like we didn't wear Kate out enough today. She just started doing this before brushing teeth tonight.
